County Officials PERSI Webinar: Year in Review and PERSI Reporting Changes

Volatility in the Stock markets did impact PERSI; however, PERSI remains on track to make a recovery from the Great Recession. The volatility of the market could require the PERSI Board to implement some of the proposed contribution rate increase. PERSI is designing a new IT system which will require employers to report all wage earners. Currently employers only report wage earners who are PERSI eligible. This new system is being designed to help employers avoid reporting errors and to ensure employees receive the retirement benefits they have earned. Full reporting will help catch eligibility issues earlier and minimize the change of missing someone thereby causing a likely budget issue. It will be a useful tool for all employers to avoid delinquent contributions and those related unexpected budget impacts.

Join IAC and your peers for a special webinar on Tuesday, July 31st to review PERSI’s recently completed fiscal year and learn about reporting changes that will impact your county. PERSI Executive Director Don Drum will keynote the webinar.

The content of this webinar is relevant to all county departments. IAC encourages all elected officials and other county department heads to participate in the webinar. 
 

Registration Instructions

Please have one contact person from your county fill out the registration form and submit it to IAC no later than Wednesday, July 25. IAC will send the information to log in to the webinar to the county contact person listed on the registration form. There will be two webinars, one held in the morning and another in the afternoon with times for the webinars listed below. The registration fee will cover all county participants. IAC is limited to only 24 participants per webinar, so please arrange for all county participants to be in ONE location to allow all counties to participate.

Because of the attendance limitations, registration for each session will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once a session is full it will be closed to future registrants so please register early to ensure your county is able to participate during its preferred time.
